Bluetooth Call Issue

Hi all

Just picked up a used 67' plate GT for my wife and after messing around with the many features we have just found a couple of issues that we didn't notice before purchasing :(
One is that the microphone isn't working for phone calls, we can hear the person on the other end of the phone but they can't hear us? Have tried 3 different phones.
Also the reversing birds eye view camera only shows a section from the rear of the car, is this likely a fault with the front cameras? Attached a photo.

TIA

Scrap the camera issue. I assumed the GT came with all the gizmos as standard but after reading that the Visio 2 pack adds self parking and 2 cameras for a 360° view but ours doesn't have a front camera in the grill.

So just the Bluetooth microphone issue 🤦‍♂️

It's strange, the voice control is recognising commands but nothing for phone calls?
Have removed all phones and reconnected but it's still the same.
Found another issue now - We don't have any FM radio stations? Doesn't matter what frequency we select, nothing plays except DAB stations?

I've done a factory reset and all the radio stations have now appeared, so that's solved.

Still unable to be heard for phone calls yet it picks up our voice commands. Would there be separate mics for Bluetooth phone calls and the voice control or could there be a faulty module?
We are able to play Spotify through Bluetooth etc, just not picking up our voice for phone calls 🙃

Hope you don't mind me hijacking your thread, I have a similar call issue with a 3008 2017 I purchased last week. I can make calls either via Siri or the touchpad via my iphone but when it connects I have to put it on speaker through the phone to be able to hear and for the recipient to hear me. Any ideas with this?

I'm currently updating my phone to the latest ios (14.5), perhaps that will sort it. Also, pardon my ignorance but if I use CarPlay is it meant to disconnect from Bluetooth?

Course not. Sounds the same as our issue. We can be heard when we switch it to the speaker on the phone and can hear the other caller through the speakers but nothing through the mic? Voice control is working?
Taking it back to the garage we purchased the car from early next week but can't see them be able to fix anything so imagine a trip to main dealers will be on the cards 🙄

Keep us updated if you solve anything?

Quick update on this. I went to the Cazoo centre and they had a look at the car. Seems like it's a software issue causing a communication error between the car and my phone. So it's going to the main dealers towards the end of the month so they can sort it. Luckily all under warranty.

One thing they checked for was the cable I was using. I have an iphone and apparently if it's not an official Apple cable, there can be communication issues between phone and car. Just in case anyone is reading this and hasn't tried switching cables already.

Thanks for the update.
Ours is also booked in for a software update with Peugeot this afternoon and the garage we bought it from are covering the cost. Fingers crossed this solves it as it's the only thing I've yet to try after factory resetting and disconnecting the battery for a couple of hours.
Shall let you know if it fixes the issue 🤞

Update - What a PITA. No luck. Peugeot have said there is a telematics issue within the touchscreen which I think also prevented the software being updated as it's still showing the same system version 😣
Awaiting to hear back from the garage we purchased the car from.

Coming up to 2 months soon and still no part. Absolute joke.

Toomey said they can't give me any information on when the part is due in and have given me Peugeot Customer Cares number, which I've now raised a case with them to try and find out more information.

No idea what the part is that we need other than Peugeot said we had a telematics issue causing the Bluetooth/mic problem.
Is anyone able to access what this part number is? They gave me a part number of: 1635858680

Really frustrating now. 😣

Just to add my voice to this ridiculous situation. I have exactly the same issue with my 2017 GT. It's infuriating to have to disconnect from the car and use the silly little speaker on my iPhone to allow callers to hear my voice. There must be a fix somehow that doesn't cost hundreds of pounds! Surely? The calls connect and the signal from callers to my speakers is flawless, just this stupid mic issue that persists. A mic issue that ONLY exists when trying to make a call and have a conversation. Aarghh!

Hi Derek

I did try this after disconnecting the battery, (although I left it off for a couple of hours just to be sure) and it still didn't solve it for us.
We had a part replaced and it's since worked fine. Not sure what the part was but it cost a few hundred and luckily the car dealer we purchased from covered the cost 👍

Glad this worked for you 😊

I resolved the problem after few weeks of reading and studying. You have to replace the NAC ("the multimedia computer"). You can do it yourself or you will find someone who has some knowledge with computer programming / Arduino and time to read. I replaced my radio NAC Wave 2 with a used NAC Wave 4. Pay attention whether you have a DAB+ and whether you have a HD or non-HD version. If you have a non-HD version you have also to take a non-HD version. Otherwise the graphics will not look good.

Or you will drive to Peugeot / Opel and they will do it for huge money for you.

Here is a link to the French forum (copy it) with the Arduino tutorial:
