Ive just bought myself a 307SW and it came with a standard headunit and the dreaded 5 cd multi changer (allready played up).

Just wondering what the best standard head unit is for the car, if its single CD then thats fine as I'm going to remove the multichanger asap! (if I can & replace with CD storage)

OR - what about a double din unit, maybe with DVD etc???

Hi Damers,
I've been wondering this myself.

Anyone know if Peugeot did a standard head unit with a MP3/USB front connection? Maybe a bit modern to come as standard!

I've also got the 5 CD changer and the dodgy tape(!!) player up top.

I myself would reccomend that you ditch the standard gear and get something from a reputable manufacturer instead

You'll get the features you want, the sound you want, and most of all it'll last a lot longer!

My sony is in its 3rd car now and still going strong! :)

Hi all,

Thanks for the above, you're not the first to mention a aftermarket head unit.

I see Halfords have a sony unit for sale at the minute for £90 which looks tempting, my only problem with getting aftermarket is that they don't work with the dash display.

Steering wheel controls can be made usable again with an adapter

But the display will be gone forever (apart from time, temp and date -- i think trip computer data stays as well if you have that option on your car)

:D
