53 plate 2.0hdi 90 Not sure if battery needs replacing?

voltage this morning when engine cold 12.62v
whilst cranking engine dropped to just above 8v
when engine running was 14.6v

Are these readings normal?

I also did not realise the battery is not maintenance free so I need to check the electrolyte level, battery is only two and half years old. If the readings above are poor is topping up the water likely to make any difference if needed?

whats the minimum battery CCA recommended?

cheers

Battery is worn by those readings, below requirements for HDI's. Service box shows these below for the 2.0 hdi 90. Try eurocarparts with your reg no. they'll fix you up.

I bought exact same battery from Eurocarparts last weekend with 3 year warranty for just under £60. No problems starting now

If you order on-line for instore collection (1hr later it's available for collection) they are giving a 15% discount on batteries at the moment.
