My 406 GLX 2.2hdi estate's battery charge warning light came on last week. I had a new alternator fitted, my lights are brighter but the light is still lit
. The battery is charging but the car thinks it isn't.
Anyone got a circuit diagram/good description showing how the current sensing happens so I can do some investigation? My garage traced a wire back to the BSI and found no fault, I have checked as far as I can myself but need a bit of guidance about exactly which wire to follow. I checked a couple of in-line fuses which were OK.
The car drives fine apart from giving an annoying warning whenever I start or open a door.
