Battery charge fault - car will not start

I am currently having the same problems you had but with a Citroen C4 Picasso that has the identical part you have replaced. I am wondering how to even open it up cant seem to find a guide on that unit. I changed the battery last year but I remember I couldn't find a way to open that part up to get it out the way. I am thinking of replacing the part with this. Battery manager BPGA
I have a video and some pics of my problems.

Also if I create a link between the two posts like what you have done would that be a way to confirm that the unit is faulty.

I am not familiar with your car but on the Pug 308 the unit was fixed to the bodywork by a couple of bolts at the bottom of the unit. The bolts could not be seen without moving the wiring loom to one side. If you look at the last picture on the Aliexpress link you can see what looks like a mounting bracket on the RHS of the picture.

I would not put a link between the two posts - it may do more damage. Monitoring the voltage at the posts when the fault is present and not present will give a good indication if the BPGA is faulty.
That's ideal I will have a look, I will check for voltages from the post to GND when it crashes and when its working and see if there is a change. I guess if there is a change between the crash and normal operation its more likely going to be the BPGA.

Setup looks the same.

Thanks so much for sharing all these information. I personally am facing a similar problems with my Peugeot 308 (2015). I got it in January, and the car has run only 27000 miles till now.

About a month ago, I start getting the battery charge fault message intermittently. Since I have a 12 months insurance coverage I just went straight to the garage. At first they thought it's me disconnecting the battery incorrectly, which I was guilty of. However the signal kept returning, and after many test run and diagnostic check, they believe the problem is with the BSI.

The insurance company decided to send a mechanic to come take a look first before approving the BSI replacement and the garage mechanics believe since it's a BSI issue, it should be safe for me to continue driving it until the coming Monday, which is the day the insurance company mechanics scheduled to come take a look....

BOOOm. Sunday afternoon, after taking a walk in the park with my family, the car refuses to start. Fortunately my garage is just around the corner, I called and it just took them 10min to come. The car must be fun to tease me, decided to resume service while the garage mechanics arrived. Now I start thinking it's more a BPGA issue rather than BSI, since the problem is getting more persistent recently, and it finally got to the point that it won't start.... The garage mechanic says he will take a look together with the insurance mechanics and see. What are your thoughts on this?

That what started to happen to my C4, I have replaced the BPGA with a new one from AliExpress and it did seem to fix the problem. With the new one I had to transfer some fuses over from the old one to the new one. This is the one I ordered BPGA (9675350380) That replaced my 9675350280.

EDIT: Just to add to this the problems I had was the mirrors wouldn't come out when I unlock the car and it sometimes failed to start and had to wait a few minutes and it would start. Other things I noticed as well as I would get a fog light error that I could remove by turning them on and off the error disappeared(SERVICE Light).

When my BPGA failed the stored diagnostic codes did not help that much - plenty of errors probably because things powered by the BPGA relay were not working but none that indicated a faulty BPGA - the BPGA thinks it is working but is not able to detect its relay is faulty.
The same happened to me when I used Diagbox the only faults I had was the other items that failed to load up as I guess the BPGA crashed during boot up if that's the best way to put it.

Hi all. I got 3008 18plate with 34k. I have electric circuit error for 2 weeks now, took it to mechanic he checked the battery and said it's fine, connected and checked for error codes, it showed 14 of them, he didnt told what they were :( He said he will contact hes friend at Peugeot and get back to me. Tody my car would not start and it said battery charge fault. When I unlock the car my mirrors did not unfold. So now I'm thinking do I have same problem as you guys have or does this have something to do with the first error. Any help much appreciated Nick
That sounds like the exact problems I had on my car replacing the BPGA did fix it for me. I got mine off AliExpress but there are a few different types.
