Hi,
On my 307 CC I have just had the cam belt and water pump replaced as a precaution. I was advised during this procedure that the auxillary roller and tension roller have excessive play!

I am not too sure what they are or how important they are?

Can I wait a few months to have them replaced or should I have them done asap?

My concern is that if I do wait can I do any damage to my car?

Thank you.

Hopefully they replaced all the tensioner/aux rollers for the cambelt and they are referring to the auxiliary belt [alternator etc] system's ones...?
If they are for the auxiliary belt and they fail, theoretically you will loose charge/aircon but will still be able to drive home as the waterpump is driven off the cambelt, but the auxiliary belt has been known to damage the cambelt when it comes adrift.
If you trust the garage not to be telling porkies and they are in fact wobbly, I would replace them [and the aux belt].

I agree with the above.
I would have expected any garage to have changed the cambelt tensioner and roller if they thought they had excessive play during the cambelt change if they didn't do then anyway as a matter of good practice - bloody stupid if they didn't.
Aux belt will probably be OK for a short while though
