I think it is the same box used in the 2litre which is what I have. According to the manual it is a sealed unit, and does not need the oil changed.

Speaking to an auto gearbox specialist that I trust, he recommended getting the oil checked, and changed if necessary. By checked, he would take a spot of oil out of the box and check its condition - is it still red?, is it the right consistency? If all is good, he says just to leave it. If the oil is not good e.g. dark in colour he recommends changing it. He reckoned 5 litres max as much will remain in the TC, and approx £150 plus VAT for oil and labour. Its not Dexron 3, but something more specialised, and more expensive.

From memory Aisin have online some onfo about the gearbox oil. Pretty sure they recommend changing it. As they built the gearboxes, I know who I would believe
