Hi
my 307 1.6HDI is very good MPG average 67 most of the time. I want to buy a chip box to plug my fuel pressure sensor to get more economy rather than full power. Is anyone have good idea of company that do for economy box?

To be honest, The couple of boxes I've tried which supposedly retailed for around £60 - £70 quid did more harm than good. Caused something that felt like limp home mode and a screen full of fault messages. There is a company that sells tuning boxes which are supposed to work almost as well as an ECU remap but they cost close to the same as a remap. Even if it gave you an extra 10MPG you would be unlikely to recoup the cost.

John ( Jasper5 ) had a 407 with the 2.0Hdi 16v lump and he said he was getting around 65mpg....:mad::mad:

He has since sold it and got a 508 which is apparently much better...:thumb:

47 for me unless im gunning it then it drops to 44 (2.0hdi 90 307 estate)

Dont know if this is normal but i do supsect a few things could do with a little maintanance, particularly the suspension and possibly a turbo leak.

Yes euro 5 engines are better than euro 4 but not by a huge amount.

My old 505 estate could do 40mpg on a run !

2.5 litre ohv with a huge turbo and intercooler basic old fashioned technology`
