Hi guys , I have a pug 307 hdi and it shows antipollutant fault on the notification screen and I often notice white smoke from the exhaust when I'm driving low on fuel. Can anyone help with this?
Cheers

Have you done a thorough inspection of the engine whilst hot and running to check for any leaks. That includes the underside as well as from the top. It can also be caused by a blocked fuel filter.

White smoke in a diesel is usually due to poor combustion in engine this would probably also trigger antipollution fault its probably got a blue/grey tinge to it but its hard to tell looking in a mirror as you drive :)

The 2 litre HDI engines rarely have any coolant issues they have a very good cooling system if yours is the 16 valve.

There are various common issues on the 136hp engines its engine code is RHR do a search of issues you will find plenty of options but as suggested a diagnostic is best.
