I am away from home facing a 150 mile trip back tomorrow.
The message '' Anti Pollution Fault'' has come on and the engine light has come on also. And it has gone into limp mode ( little power max 50 mph)
I assume this is a dpf fault.
I had the light come on about 6 mths ago but by the time I could get it on a ramp it had gone off and no trouble since .The is plenty of fluid in the dpf tank as I only ever fill up diesel when low on fuel

Is this safe to drive home and could it possibly force a regeneration.?
the car has done 60K miles 95% motorway.
Any suggestions as the weather doesn't look too good.

update
Right ,started car eobd light on but anti pollution fault on display not showing .Decided to risk driving home .((all motorway).
Gave it an italian tune up for first 20 mins. seemed ok as normal.
Stopped 60 miles from home for a coffe .anti pollution warning back on.
car driving ok.
Then 20 miles from home ... the dreaded limp mode max 50mph hardly any power up hill.
Got home ok
Will wait til after crimbo now.
Get to drive a hdi berlingo now (no bloody dpf )
Do we really need these damn things when you think of what every double decker bus spews out ,and all of china, india etc not giving 2 hoots about air quality?

We do need anti pollution measures. To fix a Peugeot you need to know how Peugeot systems work and own a Peugeot diag machine. This will help give a first time fix and save money. Fault codes can give you an idea of what and where the fault is with a Peugeot machine diagnosis. Other machines are crap.

If its a wiring problem it can take time to find the fault which adds up in labour time

Anti pollution faults are nothing directly to do with DPF it will come on for ANY fault that could lead to poor emissions or cause the DPF to not regen it needs proper diagnosis as above not just a oh its the DPF :)

OK .
For those who are interested.
Yesterday I took the car to european auto specialist in Cardiff.from what I can remember
Diagnostics read.
EGR fault
Low fuel rail pressure .
Faults were cleared and car test driven 25 miles. All ok
Maybe future EGR sensor £40 ish.
or fuel rail sensor £140 ish.
All good for now .Happy bunny.
(note to self .get my planet updated to cover 807)

Low fuel rail pressure needs investigating how low ?
get a live data reading of fuel pressure and injector correction figures NOT a new sensor.

EGR fault depends on what engine older engine can be ignored newer engine will need fixed

You MAY have a bad injector causing the low fuel pressure pumping too much fuel in and leading to the problem you had if left it could cause much more serious issues

I never thought of that. I think I'll run it for a few weeks and see how it goes .I really like the car, and as PSA have stopped making them i'm stuck with what to buy instead (Galaxy or alhambra or x trail).
As a former engineer I still maintain that any car is good for at least 100.000 miles. I had a ford capri 1600 go over 200K (rotten as a pear by then) (diesels even longer) as long as oil and filters are changed regularly (before manufacturers say so)

Update for you all .
Fuel Filter and fuel rail sensor changed .faults cleared so far so good.
Just deciding whether to change for new seat alhambra (£30K) or x trail.(£25K)Or run mine for ever as it is now only worth around £5K and now runs like a watch and fits in my garage.

Or a Gilbern Invader Mk IV butty, look at this beauty spotted in Eltam SE London, long way from its birthplace in Llantwit Fadre.
Worth removing the particulate filter and back rinsing it through with a hose at least that should deal with a possible blockage, best.

Thanks for the picture it was made about 3 miles from where I am sitting .As much as I like classics I don't think I could go back to plugs and points every few months oil and filter every 6 .Although discs and pads seemed to last longer with asbestos in them then.(It used to take longer to cremate ex mechanics then though)
807 still running ok fingers crossed it was just the fuel filter.

Ooh, a friend of my dad had one of those in maroon with white leather. Nice classy looking car with a v6 Essex rumble.

Wonder where it went.
