Hi,I'm hoping someone can help me,I brought a 207 1.4 08 plate and after 2 days it was overheating and had anti pollution light and engine management lights on,I took it to a garage that after plugging it into a diagnostic machine told me the head gasket had had it so to cut a long story short they have replaced the gasket and skimmed the head and also replaced the cam belt water pump and plugs,I got the car back and went to drive it and it's got no power behind it and then the anti pollution and engine management light have come back on! Any ideas please

How long was the car over heating before you stopped driving it?
Was the car over heating when the previous owner had it?
I can give you a whole list of things to check but seeing you have taken it to a professional to do the work, it wouldn’t be of much value to you.

Take the car back to the garage & only deal with the person you dealt when you first booked your car in to the garage.
If you deal with someone else, it can get complicated further down the line if the problem persists.
If he replaces anything, ask him for the old parts back & keep them at least until you warrantee on their workmanship falls away.
If you need to question his diagnosis or workmanship at any time you will need the old parts.

Give him the opportunity to fix the problem but don’t let him pull the wool over your eyes.
