Had the 508 18 months now and for the first time this evening (twice) the wing mirrors and rear view mirror all tinted in the dark which completely took me by surprise.
As pleased as I am with the feature I was instantly asking myself why hasn't this worked before. To be honest I didn't know it had the feature!
Anyone else shared the same experience?

I've had the electrochrome rear view mirror in cars for years, it's a feature I've always looked for. I've never had a problem though, they've always worked for me.

It's not a new technology and I quite love that feature as well. It's very useful and improves safety too . I'm not sure if base models come with that though

I have them in my current car and as much as I like them generally, not being able to 'manually' override them during the day when you're being followed by a vehicle with badly aligned lights that are dazzling you is a pain. The door mirrors can be swung in on a button but the windscreen mirror still can/will dazzle you.. double edged sword for me...
