I have recently fitted the M300S model in my 2009 308. Bought it from Aliexpress, it arrived in 10 days. You can get newer models for newer 308 models too.

You get tons of cables with the head-unit, but you don't need to use them all. At first, it's a bit intimidating, but it's plug and play and in most cases you can only plug one thing into one specific slot.
In case you want the reversing and dash camera as well, order it with the head-unit.
I bought the extra CANBUS decoder, but it's not a must as it doesn't give as much extra information as I would've hoped for. There is a lesser version CANBUS decoder already included with the unit.
Steering wheel controls are working, audio is great, and with the CANBUS decoder, you retain the controls for the multifunction display too.

The fitment is great. It doesn't sit flush with the dash, as it extrudes around a centimetre, but looks fairly stock. There's a tiny bit of modification required in order to fit it. You need to cut away some plastic bits to make it pop into place, but they're not essential, and even if you decide to put your original stereo back, they'll fit no problem.

The unit in the video is different, older model, but the steps for fitting the unit itself are the same. You need to push the unit into place confidently to make it pop in.

Hello, SecretPotato. I purchased the M700S for my 2012 308 SW. I should get it next week. Watching the video of this guy I decided to buy the model with more memory. I also wanted to buy a rear camera, but I did not find the one I am looking for among those found on Aliexpress. In practice I would like a rear camera embedded in the tailgate handle of the rear trunk. It's not that by chance you can give me some Links.
I find quite a few for other car brands, but not for the 2012 308 SW. Supplied with the M700S I should find a canbus, I hope it will allow me to have air conditioning on the screen, what about it? In my car I mounted the aftermarket parking sensors, those that have a small screen with yellow and red green LEDs depending on the distance from the obstacle. Do you think they can be connected to the radio or will I not need them if I have the rear camera.
I hope I will have an answer even if I realize that the topic is a bit old. Thank you

Upon looking I was able to find cameras which fits into the registration plate light slot, but none for the actual handle.

I believe for the aircon, you will need the upgraded canbus decoder, but I'm not sure as I only have information on this from Adrian Dragan's video. I don't have digital AC in my car, so I cannot test this. Fitting the upgraded decoder is as simple as disconnecting the old one, and reconnecting the new. The headunit will restart and after that you will need to change the selection of the decoder within the headunit menu. This takes a couple of minutes only.

I cannot help with the parking sensor unfortunately. The unit does come with cables for sensors, but I haven't tried it as I don't have sensors on mine.
