hi
picked up the new parts today so im back at it,quick question
do you know the torque setting for the bolt that holds the injector in ?

Hi,
I had trouble finding any torque values. It鈥檚 not much I know that as it undone with little force. Test the other next to it & see what value that鈥檚 at.
if in doubt try two & 1/2 knuckles.

so i got the torque settings and put it all back together,fired it up and all sounded fine,but now ive noticed number 3 is making noises and puffing out smoke very slightly,so now im back on it tomorrow to clean it all up replace the seal and see what happens....can someone tell me whether or not i need to get the replacement VDO injector that ive fitted coded ? i cant get a definitive answer

Hi. ESP/ABS light is usually fuel filter, mine needs changing about every 20,000 miles.

I also had the jerky feel when driving dealer said injector problem, I decided to get a second opinion from a diesel specialist, a bottle of jml deep clean injector cleaner in the tank and the problem was solved.
I am not a great believer in cures in a bottle but it worked. It鈥檚 not cheap about 拢35 a bottle.
A lot cheaper than the stealer dealers that's a fact.

Injector have the same code/part number?

as i now have to remove 3 injector i took 1 and 4 out aswell today,lots of carbon build up around 3,the other 2 came out no problem at all,good all round clean up and soak overnight and grab new seals tomorrow.....

Get some Redex injector cleaner to put into the fuel tank.
Does the injector have the same code? ie brand & codes.
If not the same code I don't think it'll work properly.
No idea on the cost but 馃馃 it won't be much.

its going from bad to worse lol......ive managed to knock the nut on fuel line 4 and its dropped down the pipe and vanished,ive removed the fuel filter got a rod and a magnet but cannot locate it,im not sure which way the pipe bends,im tearing my hair out,so close but so far,i must of knocked it without realising as ive only just noticed its not there,might have to take a look from underneath and see if i can see anything from there......aaarrrggghhhhh

If you can try & take a pic on your phone to see which way it bends. I used a magnet on a screwdriver. It will only go onto the fuel feed manifold.

i cant get a pic that would reveal anything,the pipe goes back under the filter then 70-90 degree bend and then you cant see anything or get youre hand down to work out which way it goes,the housing for the fuel filter is restricting any kind of decent access,i removed the the filter thinking that would help but the housing is blocking me,ive removed three bolts for the housing but that wont budge :{

What coming in from the side?
Follow the fuel feed line from #3
The fuel manifold should head back towards #3

i tried getting my arm in from the side below the pulleys but cant get in far enough nor feel any pipe
4 is the most awkward one as everything is in the way and you cant even trace which way its going,its a really tight space,i will go back out shortly and have another go

Managed to locate the nut,put it all back together and now it wont even start,smoke coming up from the injectors as im trying to crank it,theres diesel coming through but it dosent want to fire,ive had enough :{
