Hey,
I got a questions about getting used aluminum rims with winter tires on them:
Got a 2002 Peugeot 307 1,6: 4 x 108 ET31 Centerhole 65,1 Bolts 12x1,25

I want to buy some rims that fit on a Peugeot 406: 4 x 108 ET18 Centerhole 65,1 Bolts 12x1,25

The ET is different. How much a factor is that and can I buy rims
with an ET much lower.
Thanks Mcjensen

To effectively work out offset differences you need to know the wheel rim widths in question, are the wheels going to be the same size as the originals 15", 16", 17"?.

the usual wheel width on a 307 is 6.5" so if you were to (for example) put the 307 wheels on the 406 the the difference would be...

13mm less inner wall clearance & the outer edge of the wheel would retract a further 13mm inwards. You also need to take into account tyre sizes, are they the same? if there is a difference your speedo will be incorrect.

You can check the offset differences at this site...
