Hello.

I went to unlock my 207.
It's a 2007 model.

I knew the battery was flat.
I was planning to charge it.

The remote unlock didn't work.
I assumed it was the dead battery.
So I unlocked manually in the car door.

And the alarm started to go off.
And it wouldn't stop no matter what I did!

So I disconnected the battery.
And I removed the relevant fuse from the fuse box.

Eventually (not immediately), the alarm gave some pauses.
Then in the end ... it stopped.

I charged the battery while it was disconnected.
But as soon as I reconnected it .. the alarm went off again!!

I tried starting the car
It turned over (so the battery has charge) but didn't fire.

What should I do?!
1) Put the fuse back in and try to start the car?
2) Check my key fob battery is working?
3) Something else?!

Please help if you can.

Olá ... não entendi direito mas ... Se você tirou o fusível do alarme, ele não deve tocar . Acredito que você removeu o fusível errado. se o seu alarme para qualquer corrente cortada, ele não ligará o carro. sua chave também deve ser criptografada para que o alarme do carro reconheça a chave, se você tirou a bateria da chave, provavelmente perdeu o código,
então você precisa procurar como criptografar sua chave ... se seu carro tinha o alarme o fusível do seu carro não soaria o alarme a qualquer momento se isso acontecer é porque você não removeu o fusível do alarme

Hope you fix it. I am no mechanic just a member here trying to help. Thought of maybe you battery have no enough ( CCA )cold cranking ampere to start your car I suggest try get a new battery ! Just a suggestion it’s your call !! I am no expert!! Cheers.

I would definitely put whatever fuse it was that you took out back in - there is a chance if you've removed the alarm fuse that you've immobilised your car and you'll need your alarm system to work in order to release the immobiliser.

With the battery fully charged and fuse restored I would attempt to unlock the car / disable the alarm via the remote key once more. It's possible the BSI went into battery conservation previously and the remote antenna wasn't powered to save the battery, albeit you then couldn't start the car because you pulled fuses.

If it still won't go then check the battery in your remote key fob.

My advice for the future; randomly pulling fuses is nearly always a bad idea and you'll almost certainly create more problems than you solve.
