Is there anything in and around the gear leaver like packets extra?

Try closing the air vents in the car before locking it.'

duff battery
All windows and door fully closed?

Also someome said if you keep the lock button depressed for a few seconds it locks the car and disables the alarm.. Not sure how true that is, Best check on that one, I take it with a pinch of salt.

 

Lol no one in the car. The radio wasn't working I done the battery disconnect which kicked the radio back in, everything seemed fine, at least I thought it was, as I hit the lock button on the key the alarm went off. The only way I can lock the car without having the alarm go off is to use the key but there is no alarm activated.

 

the Silent display may be something with the radio control on the indicator stalks. Thats all I can see from other people with probs. You did mean it showed silcence on the screen right?

It might even be the bonnet switch ;O the alarm.

Read the alarm section , as you have diffrent monitoring settings.

No mate. The radio is working fine now just can't lock it using the lock button on the key. As soon as I hit the lock button alarm sounds.

 

Try locking with the interior protection off. See the handbook for details. If that cures it, you know its the interior sensors - is the car very dusty? Circulating dust can trigger the alarm.

 

No mate. Dust free car, well as dust free as possible. It was working fine until there was no sound from the radio. I disconnected the battery for a few seconds and it all worked fine but I can lock the car with the key and unlock it using the unlock button. As soon as I lock it, the alarm sounds.

 

It'll need a BSI reset. Your dealer can do this for you.

 

are you sure there is no problem in the bonnet? Allot of plugs have a problem with the car engine bonnet switch, the alarms has diffrent modes, one for inside and one for outside, you can change them ,.... read the manual.
The outside checks that no one opens your bonnet, boot, doors or messes with your windows!

Perhaps your problem lies in these.

I would first make sure these things are all working correctly, all things closed correctly and all locks and door handels and switchs on the door and boot ok and check the switch in the bonnet.

 

alarm triggering

i had this problem a couple of months ago and tried the battery disconnect and all the reset but when I phoned the dealer they said the alarm needed an upgrade took it in and they fixed it not had any problems but have noticed the nearside door when opened is no longer starts the engine or puts the interior light on

 

You need to take it to a dealer and they'll update the BSI software.

Trust me.

 

peugeot 308 mk2 2015 alarm going off

I had the alarm going off about a minute after I locked the car . Also noticed orange flashers not flashing when setting alarm. seemed to lock ok on autolock..
Found the small black bonnet switch broken off mount.. It's a bonnet switch near catch inside plastic cover. when replaced worked perfect...
No notification of bonnet open on screen (strange as it shows doors open etc.)

Had mine go a couple of weeks ago, and the only way to secure it was via the key, else the alarm went off

Turned out it was the bonnet switch located under the catch had broken
Dealer fixed under warranty
