Hi there can anyone help me out I have purchased a 307 1.6 16v on a 56 plate. I have got a ABS and pre-tensioner fault on my display. I have plugged my code reader in and it is saying that the triggering of pre-tensioners is not characterised could somebody please explain what this means thanks

Not being funny but if you have just purchased the car you should take it back to the seller and ask him to sort it out as per the law of 3 months if sold without the problem. Apart from that to read the car properly you need to use the Peugeot system pp2K. Read the forum search facility using the pp2K as the search function for details.

Yes but you will also need to replace the airbag ecu as any crash data cannot be deleted so a replacement ecu is the easiest answer.

If you bought it like this it could be the wiring under the seat some cars have tensioners on the stalk some are on the seatbelt reel in the pillar

Just a quick thought the airbag fault light doesn't come up on the clocks it's just comes on the LCD in the middle dash. And the airbag light does come on the clocks as it should and the goes out like it should it just flashes up on the LCD the pretensions and air bag fault.
