after visiting a fellow friend from here paddy69 we came across code 1210 which was Front Right Satelite Permanent'. He then found a wireing diagram which led to the right satellite sensor that looked like it was under the driver seat/under the carpet perhaps?
Peugeot 307 Complete Wiring Diagrams

can anyone verify this and what sensor do i need to replace.

Common enough problem. There was a bad batch of satellites fitted to certain build codes. You'll have to replace both satellites. They're fitted on the inside of each sill under drivers and passenger seats.

why both? what are satellites exactly?

are they easy to get to? and do the sensors just unplug or is it a case or cutting wires and resoldering etc

Thanks for the reply :)

They are side impact sensors. Trust me you'll need to replace both.
They have a connector on them. Dealer will have the modified ones.

£62.84+vat for the pair. bit steep that :(
wonder if any used ones would do?

also how do they actually connect? do you need to cut the old plug off and resolder the wires together for the plug?

all fixed :)

After discovering that the wires had actually snapped clean out of the black connector,i thought if i bipass it then ill know if the sensor was still ok...

by using spade female connectors,i bipassed the black connector
(wrapped 1 connector in tape so that the 2 metal spades dont touch)

All fixed,no lights on my dash, other than the norm one on :)

just need to sort horn and rear wiper now lol

Hi,
Nice photo's and thanks for sharing.
I have a similar problem in my 607 with the driver side sensor. I couldn't get to the sensor as I didn't have the tools to remove the seat. Could you please let me know if you had to remove the seat to get to the sensors.
