Hi i have a 2008 1.4 Vti and the Air con has stopped working.

I can't hear in click on so don't think it is getting power and the pipe isn't getting cold either.

Checked in the manual and the fuse for it is also for other items which are still working so don't think it is that.

What is the next things to check? read something about a relay switch but not sure where this is..

Sorry for being a complete div but how do i test pressure? Or will regas places do it for free before regas?

It will have to be connected up to a AC machine,It could be just low of gas?when was the last time it was re-gassed?.Might as well book it in for a re-gas as the only way to check it properly is with it fully pressurized.Make sure the AC guys use UV dye with the gas to identify a possible leak.

Hi, Not sure when it was last regassed but not in the last year. I am going to try and test the switch first then if i dont get anywhere will try a regas. Forgot to say it stopped working a couple of weeks ago and i had thermostat fault codes etc. i replaced the coolant sensor and all codes have gone and the air con worked ice cold again. But has now stopped, which is why my instinct is that it is not a leak but something else.

Hi, sorry when you say light on the switch, which switch and where is it you are referring to? The control display switches on etc and fan comes on but air con does not kick in

Ok so tested what I think is the compressor solenoid (black/yellow casing located under the compressor) and it is not receiving power. Could this still be due to no pressure or is it more likely to be an electrical fault?

Just going back to this does anyone know where the air con pressure sensor/switch is located? thanks
