I have a 2019 308 1.5 Diesel, the aircon isn't blowing very cold air anymore, anyone know what the problem is? Just cool air,not ice cold like it used to be?i

Likely to need regassing. Averages about £35-£50 (sometimes more).
If it needs re-gassing, it's leaking somewhere.
Was told it needs regassed every 2 to 4yrs
Yes, because of compressor lubrication, to add more oil, but it should not lose gas, it's closed system.
You may find that the condenser has small hole caused by a stone and needs replacing. A pressure test will show where the leak is.

I don't think you will get this latest type of refrigerant for £35 - £50. More likely over £100 I think.

The all lose gas over time. It is inevitable.

The loss can be slowed by using the aircon for 10 minutes a week, even in winter. The refrigerant contains a conditioner which keeps the seals supple and reduces the rate of loss and using the system keeps the seals coasted as the refrigerent is pumped round, but even if one is diligent at this you'd be doing very well to make it to a decade without needing a regas.

Your condensor is most likey damaged, a regas won't detect the minute leak during its vacuum test , this has been a known issue for a few years with substandard condensor quality. Don't go to Peugeot will be extortionate.
It also uses the new R1234YF gas with has a cost of approx £150 to regas.
Mine is a 2018 1.5 HDI 308 and the condensor had a small leak, same symptoms, but you could also hear a hissing noise in the car when on which also indicates it is low.
I got mine done by an mobile aircon specialist, he saw the fault on condensor instantly, he replaced it with a Nissens make condensor and a regas, at a cost of around £350
mines the same, local garage says its the older type gas, and she's "double checked it", £72

im not convinced

what happens if the wrong gas is put in????
I can guarantee you on a 2019 it is not the old gas, its the new gas, also the service connectors are different for old gas vs new.

All cars manufactured after 2015 have the new gas
If you also open the bonnet, there will be a sticker telling you which gas it is, near drivers side headlight
Many people put old gas, and no issues. For 308 T9, same amount is used, for some other cars, amount could be slightly different.
