We have got a new pioneer head unit in the 307 to replace the standard clarion.

When pug Pete came round to get it out of limp mode he mentioned something about a fault on the display caused by me changing the head unit from the standard. I thought something was odd as I had to bodge a fixed and switched live as the ones in the ISO plug were completely different to any I've ever seen.

1- what problems is this likley to cause?
2- can I sort it without putting the old hu back in?

It shouldn't cause any problems. The only issues with an aftermarket stereo is that it doesn't output the radio station or volume to the dash display.

The second is that if you run Pug Planet it will report that it can't detect the radio and /or CD, so its best to change the setting to "third party" or whatever the correct terminology is in Planet.
