Thanks for all the helpful advice from the forums that i have read in the past! I have a question. My recently acquired 308 has been giving me strife. I live in New Zealand and our local prices are bloody outrageous, and the local dealer is a complete plonker. I dont profess to be an expert on cars, but I am looking to replace a hose which I believe is the turbo intake, running from the turbo to the air cleaner, highlighted in yellow here as per attachment.

My 308 is the 1.6 petrol turbo, I am unclear as to what the European equivalent model is but the chassis number is VF34C5FVAAS186872 if it helps.

Can anyone advise me if I have the part named correctly?
Does anyone know the proper part number?
Does anyone know a place where I can buy a replacement part (who will ship to New Zealand?).
Is this part interchangeable with the diesel equivalent as this is all I seem to be able to find online?

Are there any things to watch out for when replacing this hose, or is it as simple as it looks? Ie. a few hose clamps. The original has broken into pieces where it connects to the turbo...

Thanks for reading this lengthy first post!

Cheers

Jon

According to your VIN in Servicebox, that pipe you have highlighted does not connect directly to the turbo, but to the intake of the air filter box. It will also only be ex-$tealer or wrecker's yard. It's p/n is 1436 N1.
The one that does connect directly to the turbo inlet is p/n 1440 Q6 and comprises 3 bits as a kit. Probably only from the $tealer as well, or wrecker.
There is a large wrecker based in Taupo who specialises in Peugeot, see trademe, try them? Link.. 308

thanks willnz, I have spoken to them already - they have quoted me around $300 - it was actually them who told me the name of the part in question so I hope they have it correct! Was hoping to be able to find the same part abroad though, I was optimistic that it was interchangeable with the same part from a turbo diesel as I have found loads of them, but no petrol ones....

What has happened to all those old British cars on your roads, shops closing 1pm Sat am etc etc??
Seriously at those prices I would try and source it from the UK, have you tried ebay?

Lastly what about repairing it with an internal aluminium or rubber sleeve and black tape?
