Hi,

I've got my hands on a cruise control stalk that has cruise and limit options. Contacted a local Peugeot dealer and initially they thought it could fit, after giving them the part code from the stalk (removed from a 2010 Berlingo Multispace), they have said they can't fit it as it can only have cruise control, not both.

I've said I don't mind if the limiter doesn't function as I only want cruise, but they aren't interested. Offered to sell me the right stalk for 109 quid and then charge me fitting.

I got the car 2 weeks ago but it was originally bought in Jan 2014, the online brochure from around that time has the Tepee option of cruise control with speed limiter, so I'm unsure why it can't be fitted. If the wiring isn't in place to do the limiter then it won't work. I'm assuming that would also need activated in the ecu and bsi along with the cruise control.

Can the current stalk be fitted without it affecting the car? Or do I need to swap for only cruise control?

What can I do to check if this will work. I don't want to affect the car so that it might fail in some way, but I am keen to get cruise control sorted in the car.

Thanks.

If the car goes to an Auto Electrician's to get the stalk fitted and ECU amended, are there any codes or password-type things that are needed to unlock the ECU to allow the Cruise Control to be activated?

If so, where/how do I find this info?

Thanks.
