Hi all have an abs fault on my wife's car. It went off after turning the ignition off and back on

My missus said 3 days later it has happened again

There's no loss of speedo at all and no pumping of the pedal

I checked on planet it said abs pump intermittent electrical fault

Any ideas not a lot on the net about it

Will disconnect the pump connector and check the connections

That is a good start, looking for water ingress particularly.

I unplugged the abs pump no issues seen. I did grease the connector when I fitted it

(Fitted a s/h pump about 3 years ago )

I checked the battery clamps and tightened to be sure I also tightened the battery holding clamp as there was some tight movement

Will see how we go

The saga continues

Missus said the abs light is on pretty much constantly now

The fault code is permenent abs pump recip something pump electrical fault

There's no other faults

Peugeot planet communicates properly

Speedo works fine

Abs pump check on acuators test works fine

It seems to communicate properly so is the pump side at fault. If so anything I need to check before I replace the pump (again)

Sounds like pump motor fault the brushes do fail/stick on them. Did you keep your old pump as if the motor was ok you can swap the motor/hydraulic block on some of them.

Don't think so but will check don't want to replace and split really in case it doesn't fix
