Both circuits on the switch they should change over

Looking on line switch looks single pole so maybe more than one switch

Check Fuses 1 and 11 in instrument panel, and F3 and F11 in the engine compartment fusebox.

If you need more, post last eight of VIN.

Have you tried shorting the connector plug on the wiring loom side at the switch to see if the brake lights now come on?

Have you checked all the brake light bulbs haven't blown?

If all the brake light bulbs are faulty or the lamps not connected then the ABS warning light will come on.

Remember these use a Toyota wiring design / system so the brake lights should work without the ignition being switched on ( those weird Japanese electrics for you )

Thank you! we have checked the fuses, and the cause was Fuse 1. :) :thumb:

Thank all of the suggestions! They were very helpful to identify the problem.
