Hi all, new member here. We recently bought a nice little China Blue 306 Cabriolet and have been having a few issues with the convertible top closing. When closing the roof it seems to lock down flat stopping the rear most part of the top to raise back up to allow the covering panel to close.
The roof seems to come down from the vertical point very fast too. Is there some kind of adjustment point to correct this? Is it possible that the system is low on oil causing this. Any help appreciated.

Also can someone recomend any good businesses in the southern suburbs of Melb to get this 306 serviced or repaired.
Cheers

I have found out where to check the oil for the hydraulics and its on the low mark. So another question is what type of oil is this? Would the Pug dealer have it available in say a 500mil size?
Thanks again

Peugeot sell small bottles of oil (approx. 250 ml). The pump is on the right hand side of the boot area. Just pull back the fabric trim and you'l see it. You will need a hose on the end of the bottle or small funnel if planning on topping up.
If the front of the folding roof doesnt stay at a roughly 45 degree angle when comming down it will activate a micro switch which tells the pump the cycle is finished but actually not. There are a set of elastics in the roof, just like the one's that hold up ya trackies, when the roof gets used alot they stretch and dont hold. Just like ya trackies... Thats the main cause of the problem but dont take my word for it, take it too a peugeot dealer and get it checked first. Motor trimers usually do the work for them.
Good luck
