Guys, what is the best way to replace the outer neoprene CV gaiter? I thought it would be just undoing the inner universal joint gaiter and removing the driveshaft but there is no large clip on the inner joint where it slides into the gearbox, the rubber looks like it is clamped or bonded to the inner joint. The replacement joint is neoprene so no way is it going to stretch over the joint.
Is the only way to remove the driveshaft complete (and have to struggle to fill that gearbox again!!!) and use a vice to try and knock the CV joint off the shaft? Thanks, grateful for any help.

hi there you can buy a tool that stretches the gaiter so you can fit it with out removing the drive shaft it does require an air compressor though.
type this search in to Google or you tube have a look hope this helps if not jack up car as hi as you can and safely put your axle stand under and hope you don't loose too much oil cheers bob
