Dear All

To change the timing belt on this car will I need any special tools or tips and tricks??

Never done one and I am facing changing it due to a possible fuel pump removal as I need to get to the stop solenoid as its giving me problems

Cheers, Tom

No special tools required, drills/bolts will do to lock the pulleys.

Does it have a/c? if not it's a dead easy belt to do. If it has the tensioner pulley can be a little awkward, but still do-able for a competent DIY mechanic.

When you've done, ALWAYS turn the engine manually by means of the crank pulley nut to ensure it turns without the valves striking the pistons.
