Hi all, I have 2000 (X) 806 HDI GTX 142k miles. No problems until Jan 2011 on a long drive from Scotland to Portsmouth 5-6 hours of motorway driving, engine instantly shut down, engine management light came on. parked overnight at peugeot garage, car started nxt morning no EML on. Diagnostic showed fault code P1112 as intermittent fault. Garage cleared fault and sent me on my way only to break down again an hour or so down the road. Garage changed fuel pressure sensor, car ran no problem on short/medium journeys for nxt 5 months until return visit to scotland, again 6hrs or so into journey, same thing happened, so. . .peugeot garage/diagnostic/fault code P1112. they changed fuel pressure regulator and indicated the previous garage probably changed wrong part. . Car ran fine on short/medium journeys for nxt 2 months until nxt long journey, Scotland to Portsmouth, exactly the same thing happened at almost the same place as 1st incident. Again...Peugeot garage/diagnostic/fault code P1112. All the faults were intermittent and as such the latest garage have stated that it could be any of various problems with the fuel pressure system (High press fuel pump/Low press fuel pump/injectors/rail/etc). So far I am 2 expensive repairs down and the fault persists. . I dont want to spend more money on what appears to be guess work. Please can anyone shed any light on the cause.
