Sorry if this has been covered before - but I couldn't find any info on this.

Is it possible to enable the video/audio on the 607's video input while traveling?

i.e. so it doesn't get switched off?

cheers

Im after the same thing mate.. done alot digging but no one seems to know as it is due to Health and Safety PSA have disabled it..

Im sure there is a way to do as the speed sensor sends a signal to the system and the video stops..

I was excited when I get my motor but was pure gutted when it goes off when the motor drives.. whats the point of the aux ??? a bit pointless isnt it..

disappointed.. even moose doesnay know :(

Bummer :(

I've been pointed in the direction of a peugeot chappie with all the electric hookups needed for these motors - so I'm going to give him a try to see what he says.

I'll keep you updated if I unearth anything. :D

Not as yet matey.

Funny thing - was thinking about this just now.

I'm going to call my specialist on Monday as they have all the same equipment as Peugeot. I'll see what he says.

Well they plugged it in and used the Peugeot diag software but there was no where to change that setting.

The only speed related thing he could change was a speed limit that would emit a beeping noise when I go over a certain speed.

Ah well............ never mind :(

I'm sure there must be a way.......

Me too mate :(

I'm currently "aquiring" peugeot diag 2000.

Once downloaded I'll have a play myself to see what I can find.

Got any ideas on where I can get an OBD cable from ? One that can plug into a USB port?

Aye, I did find them on my internet travels.

Couldn't find a OBD to USB though. But maybe the OBD to serial would do and I could get a serial to USB converter.

The diag software was no good though, didn't seem to be any type of install file on the cd - I'm guessing that it was an update CD rather than the full program.

I have a few other possibilities on their way though. Fingers crossed :thumb:

Hi Guys,

Next week I'm going right through my car with a friends of mine. Just so happens he is an Auto Electrician, sells ALL the software and hardware to talk to any Car!

He'll be plugging his kit into my car to check for faults etc and I'll ask him and have a look myself to see if it can be done.

Hi Guys.

It is possible and CAN be done.

He did say that
1.)(state the obvious) Dealers will never do it and Brand Software such as Peugeot Diag, may not have the functionality built in as it's a H&S from Peugeot.
2.) Lots of Auto Electricians don't have the right software, lots pay for the cheapest just to diagnose faults. (remember this guy writes programs and sells diagnostic tools)
3.) Many Auto Electricians won't do it for Moral Reasons.

So not sure what to suggest.

I have been toying with this for several years!. I had a 2000 2.2 se.. and now have just bought a 2005 model with the 7 inch screen I know its caled 'tv in motion' or 'tv on the go'. There are a few for other marquees (BMW, Mercs) but not found any so far for our beloved 607's ! I have contacted everybody who sells audio stuff on ebay but no one can help.. yet !!

Today I went into my local car audio centre to see if they sold the interface. They will be getting back to me i hope next week. I am all lined up with my iPhone and the video leads all ready to go!!

I will post the info once i get it... fingers crossed!.. Nigel :thumb:
