Hi All, Happy new year!

I have a lovely (??) 605 that has thrown me a catalogue of problems in recent times. Its now nearly beaten me now it appears i have everything almost sorted!

I have just had the dashboard off to repair a water leak... Its all back on now, starts, all warning lights are fine but after driving for a couple of hours I now have the battery warning light flickering.

Im not sure if this is a "how bad is my luck" broken alternator issue or is it a fault behind the dash somewhere. I have tested the voltage at the battery and this keeps dropping - suggesting no charge happening. Spec wise this a 2.1 turbo diesel with an auto box

Is there a relay or some sort of item lurking in the background that is somehow linked to the alternator not charging.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated...

Charging issue resovled

It seems unrelated but ive discoered that the adjuster for the belt on the alternator is broken so the belt is running slack.

I have no idea how or why this happened.

Its all good fun!
