@@@@SORTED - called aa! @@@@

Hi all,

Fun fun fun as usual with the 407 sw's!
It seems my dad had left a light on somewhere overnight and the car is now completely locked!

The key just seems to spin 90 degree's either way in the lock and makes no noise to unlock etc.
Unsure if these have an alarm but that hasnt sounded and we have prized windows, jacked both sides, wheels off etc?
The remote key does nothing (although it was broken originally).

So basically we think the battery is totally drained and we have no way of opening the bonnet to charge the battery (due to not being able to open doors).

We have tried to locate a bonnet cable underneath the car but cant quite find anything, tried prizing the boot glass as it looked loose to no avail.
Took both front wheels off and went in the arches to see if we could find the boot release cable to no avail.

Any advise on opening the bonnet?

We did find one black cable but when we pulled it quite hard it didnt seem to do alot?
I also read about charging through or giving enough power to open the doors via the alternator/starter motor.. is it this correct or how would we go about this?

Only other way seems to smashing a window :(

Many thanks

depending on where the car is parked either battery charger via any earth(engine block /chassis) and starter power feed cable or use jump leads,a bit tight with jump crocks though ...you will only need a little charge to let you open he doors obviously...then charge the battery off the car if possible..you might need to redo the keys -they might not be recognised when it all 'works' again...
by the way its a good idea to put your location in the box where your name/member info is displayed on the forum if you need local assistance...just a thought
good luck:D
