i've heard that the suspension system isn't all that great on the 407s?
did you notice that too?

If you're looking for that magic carpet ride of the Citroens, be it XM or whatever, it's not there. It's firm and suited for a spirited drive. But you've got to give it an A++ for good handling with those front double wish-bones.teasley said:i've heard that the suspension system isn't all that great on the 407s?

Yup, I have the 407 2.0. Petrol. 41 mpg is good, I'm getting about 35mpg only - petrol.Jason said:Hey J2EE, do you also have a 407?
I Recently bought a 407 HDi 136 SE.
I'm only getting 41 MPG on a run,
Any other 407 owners out there with similar prob?
Another thing is that the engine does not start again immediately after switching off the engine.
Peugeot service centre informed me that this is normal,
so you have to wait for minutes before starting the engine again.
Other than that, this car is excellent!
You guys talking about manual clutch here ?pokershark said:i have a friend that the clutch started going bad after 150K

We have had our 407 HDi Sedan for about 9 months (13500km). White Gold. This is easily the best car I've ever owned. Comfortable to drive or passenger in, excellent fuel economy ( average 7.2 L/100KM around town - 5.0 L/100KM highway) and no serious mechanical glitches.J2EE407 said:Since we are all owners (or non-owners) of PUGs and in particular the 407, I would like to hear from you with regards to your experiences with the car. Was there any particular "joys" or "woes" that you have encountered in the onwership of this marvelous car.
I have the same car!!! It is a beauty, I also get the parking speed vibration but I like to think about it as an overdose of power just waiting to hit the road.Captain Pugwash said:We have had our 407 HDi Sedan for about 9 months (13500km). We do have a steering vibration at parking speeds, but the dealer seems to think this is not a problem. Anybody else got a similar "feature"?
We are very happy with this car! And it's a thing of beauty to look at.

41mpg is GOOD:thumb:
