i am having a problem with my side lights (driver side ) ? i get a warning on the dash when driving with the side lights on . this warning seems to come on when i touch the brake pedal !!! and when you check the bulbs at the front of car , the drivers bulb will be blown ? can any one help ?

The problem is in the rear lamps. The earth can't handle the current. There is a modified bulb holder available to cure this problem. Replace the connector (white one) on each lamp and replace each wire terminal also. You have to reroute a new earth from modified bulb holder to another earth point to cure the problem.
I recommend upgrading both lamps as this will cure your problem.

Just wondering if this is the same cause as my problem with my brake lights (also drivers side) that I posted about in my "cold elecrrics" post.
where can you get the new bulb holder? Is it a main dealer, motorfactor or ebay job??

I can give you a list of part numbers to cure this problem for good.
Need last eight numbers of chassis.

Yes create a new earth and attach it to the earth point just below the lamp behind the little black plactic box.
