Hi, I have a 407 v6 Coupe thats been on a SORN for 2 years.

To get it back on the road, I have a leaking rear shock absorber to replace, and my local garage has said it's a part that'll need to come direct from Pug, and about £480. Which is nice. :)

Has anyone been able to source one of these from elsewhere for a wee bit cheaper?

Many thanks in advance for any help or advice.

That's sadly the downside of the fantastic magnetorheological (adjustable in other words) dampers fitted to these 407's.

You could have them rebuilt but that would cost about the same as a new shock from pug.
