Hi guys,

I bought a 2004 407 2lt diesel se with standard factory fit basic headunit. I need to install an aux for my ipod and bluetooth for my phone. Do you know the best way to do this? At the moment I think my options are:

1) Install an aftermarket headunit and use a facia adapter. The thing that worries me about this is I cannot see how I will be able to change the display settings on the dash ie. the trip comp, climate etc.

2) Install some kind of wire adapters to the current stereo (if it is possible) that can make the stereo amplify the aux and bluetooth.

I appreciate any information that you can give me.

Cheers
Luke

1) Yup, you'll lose a lot of functionality.

2) There are numerous kits from pug and OE manufacturers, but you then need the spare aux input activated by the dealers before it'll work. Note - if you have a CD changer, this uses the aux input, so you can't have both.

Speak to a reputable ICE installer and they'll see you right.
