Hi All,

I've had the 407 now for just over a year and its been mostly trouble free motoring aside from the odd depollution error which clears itself after a good motorway run, and a bit of a slipping clutch which seems intermittent.

Picked it up last year on an 06 plate with 30k on the clock, it currently has about 56k.

However after taking the battery off the car to recharge it following the cold snap recently I've had a consistent problem with the car feeling like its misfiring when idling or when revving the engine and it dropping back to normal revs, you can hear that its running as if one of the cylinders isn't happy.

The odd thing is performance doesn't seem to be affected on acceleration and it doesn't do it immediately after starting - only after the car has actually travelled half a mile or so, even then when I come to a stop and can feel the vibrations through the car (as if its idling to low) I can simply turn the car off, start it again and it goes away fully until I start moving again.

The only other thing worth mentioning is that when its idling rough, if I depress the clutch I can hear what almost sounds like a ticking noise coming from the engine bay although this may well be totally unrelated.

Any suggestions people can give would be very welcome. :)

With only one post ever, and that was in Jan 2013, I think Redoctober has sunk for good :D

Do a search and you may find more solutions to your problem.
