Hi,
I have a 406 3.0 V6 GLX saloon, 1998 model.
When I turn the wheel slightly to the left and accelerate say around a bend, the car makes a whirring, grinding or rubbing noise that I can't identify.
It disapears when I straighten-up.
I thought it was the n/s drive shaft and changed it,
but this has made no difference!
Expensive mistake.
Could it be the right hand shaft, steering rack or something else?
I am desperate, please help.

Check your power steering reservoir,is the wheel arch liner secure or is anything else rubbing?
