hi my 406 has a slight binding noise from the rear brake caliper,(Seems not handbrake)i took the wheel off cleaned everything up (the lower sliding piston had siezed)got this moving as best as i could without taking the brakepipe off,but still no change:confused:
also on this wheel there is a slight bit of play, but on removing wheel and disc could feel no play on bearing..??
any advice cheers paul

It it sort of metal against metal scrape? Possibly the disc rubbing against the back plate. Mine's been doing it for as long as I can remember, but the back plates are OK so I don't worry. A pair of new back plates is something stupid like £180.

no didt see no signs of wear,the noise changes under braking,disc spun fine when jacked up...
