Hi, guys.
I,ve often thought how you would gain access to a door that wont unlock
and low and behold it,s just happened to me.
The central locking works on all the doors on my 2004 2l hdi estate except
the off side passenger door.I have tried jiggling with the lock switch on the
door panel and using the key locks and unlocks all the doors except this one.
How do you gain access without destroying the door panel.
Kind regards, Peter.

with great difficulty I recommend a t20 screwdriver not a screwdriver bit in a handle, a magnet and a laminate floor fitting tool to remove door card

Good luck - I think I read somewhere that if you can remove/lift the rear seats it gives better access to the panel.

I've been racking my brains about how to tackle this one, maybe squirt WD40 through a straw to where the latch is? I guess the deadlock is stuck on so maybe a couple of gentle nudges from inside with the outside handle up..??

Its probably easier to force the door and then replace the mechanism after.

Is yours a 406?

Mine did the same, but locking all the doors ( except the drivers door ) from inside the car, then using the key in the drivers lock to lock the drivers door, then turn the key the other way to unlock - then do it a couple of times. I don't know if its any help but it worked for me..

If you have an Estate car, you can access all the door card screws just by putting the rear seats down/up. The door card lifts away without any obstructions once the seats are back to the upright position.
