My 406 has a clicking sound coming from the front right side. The frequency of the click increases and decreases with road speed i.e. it seems to be one click per wheel revolution. It is louder at slow speed and becomes inaudible at high speed. My first thought was something in the tyre but there is nothing there. I have tried turning in tight circles to check for cv joint noise but nothing there either. I have jacked her up and couldnt find any wheel bearing play or play in any other joints. The brake caliper has a bit of play on the slider pins but the noise doesnt alter with or without brakes applied and I thought it would if this was the cause. The noise is present also when coasting with clutch depressed.

This has been going on for a little while now and is starting to get louder but I am at a loss as to what needs repairing. Any ideas?
