As much as they think they can get away with selling to you is my guess. Are they really admitting the tensioner won't last more than 36k miles?

Odd that they don't mention replacing the engine oil.

I suspect your right.

Thats for 3 years/60k miles service.

I think the engine oil is assumed. It doesnt state it for any service.

Is this the original belt or has it already been changed? 60k for the belt is good, but the tensioner should last a lot longer.

This would be its first change. I phoned up my local Peugeot Part Dept and they have told me their is no "Ancillary Drive Belt Kit".

Their is of course a belt and a couple of tensioners that can be purchased but no "kit".

Its stuff like this that really get my back up. No matter what car I have owned, the level of consistency RE servicing and terminology used has never been straight forward.

On another note, without the app, I wouldnt know what is required for each service. Is this info elsewhere? Its not in the handbook or service book.

I'm sure I've seen reference to different service levels, and basic listing of what's involved somewhere. My local dealr was wittering about level 1 and 2 services.

In the past, I've generally done services myself with the aid of a mechanic friend of mine. Having a clear list of whats required each year shouldnt be too much to ask.

Ive scoured the handbook and service book front to back and theirs nothing. Is their a 3rd booklet?
