Hello,

I have a 308 circa 2012 and the key fob recently stopped unlocking the doors (locking works fine) I opened the fob and discovered a chip had broken off the circuitboard a bit fiddly for me to solder.
If I buy a key online can I program it myself or how would I go about getting it done.
I’ve searched her and found quite a few conflicting answers to my question so thought I’d ask to be sure before wasting £££

TIA.

1 you need the 4 digit access code to code your key
2 there is more than 1 type of key all can be programmed to start car only correct one can be programmed to the central locking
3 i would get someone to try and fix your key first its easier :)

Hi,

The unfortunate thing now is I don’t have the chip that came off so a repair is no longer an option for me

I appreciate the reply.
