My 2012 308 has a leaking slave cylinder after only 36k miles. Anyone else seen this problem and did Peugeot respond positively to a request to fund the huge cost of labour involved in replacing this and the contaminated clutch. I have had many peugoets and never seen this problem even at >50k miles. The bill is £1400+ so am staggered at this happening.

Leaking slave cylinders are a common issue on all modern cars not just peugeot as most now put the slave inside the bellhousing so failure means removal of gearbox where on older cars the slave was external and easily replaced.

The parts are made by other companies not by peugeot themselves and this is the problem seems quality always suffers when parts are bought in.

Its called progress !!
