Morning all,
Long story short, our 308 GTi was damaged by hail some time ago, one of the tail lights was cracked and I replaced it with a second hand tail light from a wrecker. I’ve just noticed that, although the tail light functions work (which I checked at the time) the brake lights aren’t as bright as the other side when you’re following the car.
I thought I might be able to pull the LEDs out of the original tail light and fit them to this one, but there doesn’t seem to be a simple way to separate the lens or dismantle the light (even after removing the three small hex screws).
Has anyone had experience with brake lights failing or luck pulling apart the rear lights? After a quick google I assume they’re not a common failure point.
Thanks in advance,
Ben
