my 2005 307sw 136bhp is making a single beep on start up randomly.

it did it first thing this morning and thinking about it - it seems to happen in mornings or after the car has been standing.

nothing lights up on the display and the car is performing perfectly.

is it the battery - I read it is an indicator of the battery being on its way out.

thanks

hi

the coolant needed doing last week amazingly, it came up with "coolant level circuit" error on dashboard - this has no error light - just a single beep

thanks

Mine did that a few weeks back and have just had new battery.

I had the pollution fault appear just before new battery was fitted.

Have read somewhere a low battery can knock out ecu memory, thats what happened to mine and has just been confirmed today additive ecu needs replacing.

Probably coincidence but suggest get battery checked asap to be on safe side.

had the battery checked today and it passed.

the warning log has been showing a "cold temperature" warning - which is the only thing on the status log.

so no other warnings have caused the beep.

I am 99% sure its the battery based on a few other peoples comments - but don't think I can justify £80 on a 99% suspicion.

anyone else ?
