My mother recently purchased a second hand 307CC (first registered May 2005 if that matters). It came with alloy wheels all with 205/55/16 tyres. However, the car came without a spare wheel.

I have now been supplied with a spare wheel, it is steel, which is perfectly fine. However, they have supplied me with a 195/65/15 and have assured me that this is correct for all 307 years inc. 307CC's. Is this correct? Is a 195/65/15 the correct equivalent for the Alloy 205/55/16 as a spare? I am concerned I have been fobbed off and given whatever was available.

Am I right in understanding Peugeot do not offer a 'space saver' spare tyre?

Can anyone please help? What spare would Peugeot have originally supplied with this car?

Many thanks,

Strange..... I'm pretty sure mine is a 206/55/16 fitted on a steel. Possbly because of teh bigger brakes on the 136HDI?

Car originally had 16" alloys with 205/55/16 but now has some nice oem 17" from a late cc with 225/45/17.

Spare in my mind is just that - its a get me home job.

195/65/15 has roughly the same rolling radius as all the above mentioned tyres.
