I am having trouble with my 307cc/2006. When the roof is open. It won't close. Boot opens and that plastic thing also. Then when the roof should rise, it moves up just a few centimetres. Pump still working. Then the roof stops, I can hear pump still trying it.

I did the pump bleeding and it worked ok just once. Now trouble is on.

Just a guess that the trouble is on pump oil, but I can't find help for how to check/top up/change the roof pump oil.

Utube would be handy, but not that info to be found there.

Yesterday i tried again, and to my surprise the roof closed. I immediately opened it, because the sun was shining etc. When got back the same trouble occured again. Now the roof rised about 10 cm then stopped, pump still working. On second try the roof was not rising at all.

That thing has happened now three times. After a travel, the roof is not rising. In the morning after, it rises.
Could it be about the heat? It' s been verry hot around these days. Nights are cooler. After cooling? the system works ok.

...the roof opening works as it should...

Can anyone please give a piece of an advice?

Thankz Ian! That's for the starters. Another problem popped out when asking what fluid for the pump. The local Peugeot dealer couldn't find the info about what is the current brand. The old info in their data was Equivis ZS 15 (Total??), but it is not available anymore.

On another workshop, after a loong search, including a phone call to Total merchandise person who didn't want to help, found a summa summarum that a basic hydraulic fluid has all the needed components!!! Will take my beauty there for a fluid change. Fingers crossed...

Need some more help, information for the fluid change. Bleeding bolt info on that service box picture tells to turn the bolt one and a half turn to left. The bolt number two is for filling. If to change the oil is the task, how to empty the pump oil? This would be helpfull for the workshop i am to take The beauty on Friday, to avoid damages or long expensive hours, that i have to pay for...

Fluid changed! Old fluid was dark grey with some dustlike aluminium particles. The system flushed during the operation. It really needed it. Problem solved! 2,5 deciliter for the pump, the rest went through flushing...
The pump must be removed during the operandi.

You're right! Might mean also that it was used during very low temperatures sometime in the winter? Let's see what happens. I'll have some rest of this thing now for a while, hoping...

You need to find where the ali is from. Might mean impending total failure!
Yeap!

Now the same problem occured again! Pump just can't rise the roof. Tailgate moves also very slowly.
Maybe I am now in need of a new pump motor.

One thing still in consideration. How tight the bleeding screw must be? If some reason it has been loosen too much, it might be too loose after tightening needed half turn...

In oil change the old oil was grey and had dustlike stuff, that might mean that there is some trouble with the pump itself?

Please give your opinions.

Roofmotors.co.uk seems to be the place?
