I'm getting somewhere now guys! I've found the two wires at the fuseboard end. The pin numbers in RedSectors diagrams are correct. 25 goes to pin 1 and 12 goes to pin 2 at the headlamp unit for the l/h dipped beam, but it's from the middle plug in my photo (all brown in colour) labelled 28V GR on RedSectors diagrams NOT 28V MR. It was getting dark now but over the weekend I'll do a resistance check and use my bench power supply to send 12V down to the bulb and see if that works. If it does I think the problem is with the fuse/relay board. Thanks again RedSector for your help!

Morning guys.....I'm still here! So I've checked the resistance on the two wires from pins 25 and 12 which go to pins 1 & 2 on the plug to the headlamp unit. Resistance is 0.5 Ohms so within range. However I've just checked continuity again from the pins on the back of the headlight unit to the live and ground on the dipped beam bulb holder and ground continuity is now with pin 3 NOT pin 2 as the other day!? I've re-read my posts to make sure I hadn't got it wrong. It's as though the ground wire has changed pins since the other day!
I think I might have more than 1 problem. The negative voltage of 1.49 between pins 1 & 2 at the headlamp unit plug doesn't make sense, as it implies a problem with either the wiring from the fuseboard or the fuseboard itself - which I suspect might be faulty. The other thing that doesn't make sense is that the ground wire in the headlight unit itself seems to have changed pins! I'm wondering if I have a problem with the wiring in the headlight unit too. The side light and main beam are still working fine though. Can someone explain the symbols and other components in the wiring diagram please? I'm thinking about the circles with yellow segments in them and the component EM10C. I'm wondering if there's a short in the light unit? Just to confirm my findings this morning I connected my bench power supply to pins 1 and 3 on the headlight unit and the dipped beam works.
Thanks again guys!

Morning all! So things have got worse since yesterday. The car wouldn't start yesterday - maybe cos I'd been playing with the lights and the battery was low, so I charged the battery overnight but the car still won't start this morning. It actually sounds different too (but I can't really put into words how!). I've managed to get the OBD 2 reader to work - which it wasn't previously - and I'm now getting two pending codes: U1003 and U1313. I'm wondering whether or not this might be related to what I suspect is a faulty BSM 11 fuseboard??
Any ideas guys?

The battery was new in Jan 24 and had a 3 or 4 year warranty. I know that doesn't rule it out but I'm going to wait til the BSM L11 unit arrives, fit it, charge the battery again and see what happens!
