Hi Everyone
I have a 2006 2.0l petrol version of this model and recently the l/h dipped beam stopped working. I fitted a new bulb but it didn't work. I measured 2.24V at the manky looking plug so ordered a new plug online. (I have an H1 bulb not H7 incidentally). I cut out the old plug this morning and thought I'd test the voltage against the stripped wires and I'm still only getting 2.24V from the wires supplying the dipped beam bulb.
I'm trying to work out if the problem is with the supply voltage in the multi-pin plug connected to the headlamp unit or an internal wiring issue inside the light unit itself. I was thinking if I could get a wiring diagram I could test the supply pins on the connector - if I knew which ones controlled the dipped beam! I understand I need to remove the bumper to take the headlight unit out to inspect the wiring but would rather avoid that if the issue turns out to be in the plug.
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks Tony
